An in-person workshop to awaken your power and help you embrace the vitality, sexuality, and fundamental wildness built into your body.
Mother is the ground of being.
Mother is the source we come from.
Mother is emptiness and fullness.
We are born of Mother.
Bones are the last of “us” to decompose.
Bones are dense, and also porous.
Bones are echo locators- master orienters.
We can find ourselves in space through our bones.
Being deeply located is true grounding.
This is how we become divining rods and grounding rods.
Holding each other's bones is elemental, foundational and intimate.
Whenever I have led this practice, everyone in the room has the sense that women used to do this for each other and that the mothering the bones practice is old and it's sacred and it's simple and it's ours.
You are invited to step into the mystery.
The practice of mothering the bones involves nervous system tracking with skilled touch and attuned awareness. We will learn to feel, communicate and surf waves of arousal and activation.
The training will be demonstration and practice-focused, so you are not just working from maps, you are learning from the territory itself. The topics we will tend to include birth recovery, birth trauma, gynecological conditions + surgeries, and sexual boundary ruptures- and of course whatever else arises.
This training is for people who work with women and mothers and understand the penultimate importance of pelvic power and reclamation to our personal and collective wellness.
This experience is also for women who understand that these visceral experiences are elementally and foundationally human. So this experience may not relate to your work in the world, but it may relate to your village-mindedness, and the skill of being a woman and a human.
This five day experience will be visceral, kinesthetic, exploratory and palpatory.
This training will deepen your perceptive and awareness skills and make your non-touch practice more potent.
In these five days, we will undertake:
- Movement exploration + practice
- Inhabiting + practicing Jaguar principles
- Somatic exploration + practice
- Watch demo somatic sessions with birth injuries, gynecological surgeries, and sexual boundary challenges
- Touch exchange
- Do real time repair work
I will not be giving certifications or licensure. You can receive continuing professional development hours as a part of this experience.
If you take this training, you understand that it may be outside of your normal realm of scope of practice and you are willing to step into this new territory of community care, where women take back our pelvic, sexual and gynecological health, when possible.

Training + Food + Accommodation
We will begin our time together on Tuesday, June 17th. You are invited to arrive with us any time from 3pm to settle in. We will gather for supper at 5:30pm followed by an evening session. Our time together will come to a close on Sunday, June 22nd after breakfast.
Beginnings and endings are important, we would love to have you with us for both meals.
Our meals will be prepared using local seasonal food by the loving hands of Gayano who is daughter, mother, spouse, grandmother, hearth tender, grief apprentice and re-memberer.
Gayano is deeply grateful to have been homed in West Wales for the last 24 years and with such good fortune to have been stirred and well met by so many who continue to grow and hone her.
The heart of her days is fed by the invitation to “bear faithful witness to what is, know it could be no different and proceed as if needed” and brailing my way to living in service with humans, the more than human and the unseen world.
“‘It is an honour to be called in by Kimberly and Emily to walk alongside you as Mothering the Bones is called here through you to these shores. I am indeed honoured to be part of welcoming each of you to the lands of Trefacwn and the Holding of Ty Sanctiadd.”
We are offering three different accommodation options. A solo room, a twin room, and the option of a dorm room. The dorm rooms are lovely and spacious with lots of natural light. The dorm rooms are in cottages / the main house that also have additional communal spaces where you are free to be during downtime.
All bedrooms will be in the beautiful stone buildings at Trefacwn, near to the roundhouse that will hold us for group sessions.

We are keen to bring together a group of people who are ready, grounded and stable in their own practices to do this work. The people that make up the group provide a container. We want for this container to hold us with steadiness and heart so that we can drop in to the time we have together with the most benefit.
